Treatment Time: 19 months
While this patient didn’t have any major skeletal bite issues, he came to Gorman & Bunch hoping to correct moderate overcrowding and high canine teeth. With the help of Invisalign, he was able to wear the aligners, while still losing a few remaining baby teeth. He completed his Invisalign treatment plan after 19 months with a lower permanent retainer and an upper clear retainer.

Underbite Correction

Treatment Time: 23 months
Some wrongly assume that orthodontic care is purely cosmetic. On the contrary, orthodontic treatment is vital in preventing long-term damage to the mouth, teeth, and gums. That was the case for this patient when he started treatment at our orthodontic office. If left untreated, his Class III underbite would have caused excessive damage to his upper and lower front teeth along with gum recession, which would jeopardize the long-term stability of the lower teeth. After just 23 months of using Invisalign and rubber bands, his bite was corrected and the long-term damage to his teeth is no longer a concern.

This patient pursued treatment for his Class III underbite. He started with a Carriere appliance on his lower teeth to correct his bite along with Invisalign on his upper teeth. Once his bite was corrected (a process that usually takes around six to ten months), he finished his treatment with upper and lower Invisalign aligners as well as rubber bands. He completed his treatment in just 24 months.

This patient’s Invisalign treatment plan set out to correct her Class II overbite and overcrowding. In addition to Invisalign aligners, her treatment also included a Carriere bite corrector and lingual holding arch. Her bite was corrected within four months, and she was able to complete her total treatment in just 15 months. Following treatment, she was provided with a lower permanent retainer and an upper clear retainer to prevent an overcrowding relapse in the future.

This patient started treatment for a Class III anterior open bite after experiencing damage from an NTI appliance, which is a mechanism sometimes used to treat jaw pain (TMJ) issues. While the appliance helped with her joint pain, it also caused extensive bite problems. Our team of orthodontist specialists prescribed upper and lower Invisalign with rubber bands to correct her upper crossbite and bring her upper and lower teeth together for an enhanced bite. Like many of our patients, she completed her treatment early and now enjoys a healthier smile for life.
